Lawns are an important part of the garden and like everything else it needs care and attention, here we have provided a quick guide to creating a better lawn.

January

Not much to do during January but generally keep the lawn area tidy.

February

If the lawn is not too wet you can start work on your lawn by aerating the area (spike)

March

During March in certain areas of the UK many of us will consider giving our lawns` its first cut of the year, be careful not to cut it too short at this point.

It is also a good time to rake your lawn and remove un-wanted build up of dead grasses.

April & May

This is the time to apply J Arthur Bowers Lawn Feed & Weed, as grass and weeds are beginning to actively grow, you will now find that your lawn will need to be mown on a regular basis.

June.

Apply J Arthur Bowers Lawn Food this greens up grass and replaces nutrients lost through mowing.

Control weeds throughout your lawn over the coming month or two with Verdone Extra Lawn Weedkiller, one treatment will give season long control.

July & August

6 weeks after applying your first dressing of J Arthur Bowers Lawn food it is time to give your lawn a further feed, and keep on mowing!.

September

After the wear and tear of the summer it is now time to lay the foundations for next seasons lawn, re-seed areas of damage with Grass seed from our range and at some point during the month apply a dressing of J Arthur Bowers Autumn Lawn feed, this will provide nourishment for a beautiful lawn next spring.
Continue mowing as required throughout the month.

October & November

You can still apply J Arthur Bowers Autumn Lawn Feed and carry out the last cut of your lawn.

December

Take a good rest and enjoy the festive season.
